when drawing a being, draw the head first, because it is easier to tell what the size of the body should be relative to when drawing hands, remember the space between the fingers is shaped like the letter u! i had trouble drawing hands for a while, but this fact alone helped me a lot  it's completely okay to use a reference at any point, or to trace a pose or body part when you need help. if it bothers you to use a reference for a completely "self-done" piece of art, practice drawing your weak spots by tracing, and take notes  it's okay to dislike your art. most artists have hated their work at a time or two. if you don't find faults, y
